Claire is an Accredited Practising Dietitian. Since graduating from a nutrition and dietetics degree with honours from Monash University, she has gained years of experience in a wide variety of settings including clinical dietetics, community/private practice and corporate/fitness industry dietetics.
Claire currently holds the role of clinical Grade 2 gastrointestinal dietitian at a major public hospital, where she works closely with doctors and cares for many public outpatients as well as inpatients.
Through her clinical experience, she has developed a strong interest in gastrointestinal nutrition, thus began her journey in the private setting, working for various specialist gastroenterologists in the eastern suburbs and caring for clients with a range of digestive issues.
Her areas of interest include inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), functional gut disorders including IBS and gastroparesis, food intolerances, coeliac disease, liver disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis as well as general healthy eating, weight management and diabetes.
Claire is passionate about translating evidenced-based nutrition science into practical advice. She strives to provide a relaxed, non-judgemental and supportive environment for her clients and utilises individualised, client-centred counselling skills to achieve results.
She works closely with her clients to create positive relationships with food as well as empowering others to make healthy, sustainable food and lifestyle changes long term.
When not working, Claire enjoys spending time with her friends and family (including her two adorable labradoodles), doing pilates, swimming at the beach and reading.
